Afternoon at your own leisure.
At 10:00pm, join a small group for a Northern Lights Cruise. On this approximately 2.5-hour tour we encounter many other interesting sights. We cruise along the beautiful coastline and enjoy the city lights from a different view! When particles from the sun hit earth’s atmosphere it creates a bright light with colours fluctuating in hues of green to red to sometimes purple. While our main goal in this tour is to see the Northern Lights, we can enjoy the clean ocean breeze and gaze at the starry night sky while we wait. We get to see Harpa Reykjavik Concert Hall & Conference Centre from another angle. Along the coastline we see the art sculpture Sun Voyager, a dream boat and an ode to the sun and the famous house Höfði, where the agreement to end the Cold War was signed in 1986.
Our experienced crew will keep an eye out for the Aurora Borealis activity to find the best route, while you enjoy the scenery from the vast darkness behind the small islands in Faxa bay (Faxaflói). Among them is one of Iceland’s most famous Islands, Viðey where the Imagine Peace Tower by Yoko Ono’s lights up the night sky from October 9th – December 8th and few other days. If it gets chilly you can wrap around you a warm blanket or purchase a hot beverage from our on-board shop were we offer a selection of light refreshments. On board you will find information and educational multimedia about the Northern Lights.
This deluxe cruise offers a more personal service and less crowded scenery with fewer passengers. With the new interior refitted 2018-19 you will experience the magnificent northern lights in a truly luxurious experience you will never forget!

This morning you will be met by your own private customized Super Jeep with huge tires along with your knowledgeable English-speaking driver/guide for an all-day tour. Start your Icelandic Odyssey with driving a mountain track to Iceland's second largest glacier, Langjokull, where we will snowmobile and blaze across the white plains of the glacier for one hour. (2 snowmobile´s – 1 to share and 1 for solo use).
Your journey continues east past the lava fields and to Thingvellir national park, where the Icelandic parliament was established in 930 AD and the Eurasian- and North American tectonic plates meet, which have formed a large crevice in the lava while slowly drifting apart. After a walk around the area, you continue onwards to the Geysir area where the enourmous geothermal heat in the ground has formed several hot springs. Among them is Geysir, from which the English word geyser takes its meaning and Strokkur, which spouts boiling water 25-30 meters high in the air every 5 minutes or so. From Geysir it's a short drive to Gullfoss waterfall which cascades 32 meters down a canyon in two steps.
After an adventurous day you will be taken to your country-like lodge hotel.

Can you book my international airfares?
On some Islands Holiday Packages (e.g. Fiji), it is practical to include flights, so where we have done this it is indicated by the plane icon.
However, on the majority of our Holiday Packages, we do not include international flights.
We found that many customers may prefer to:
- Travel on a specific airline of their choice
- Have the flexibility to book flights with Frequent Flyer points
- Select flight dates that may be different to our Holiday Package start/end dates
- Use a Travel Credit already held with the airline
- Use their travel agent for this service
We are able to assist with flights on any Holiday Package, so please just notify us during the Book Now process or contact our team.
Should I take travel insurance?
Travel insurance is strongly recommended. During the Book Now process please confirm you require assistance, and our team will be in contact with you.
What should I do before travelling?
Before you travel it is your responsibility to ensure you have the appropriate documentation including visas. If you are travelling on a passport other than Australian or New Zealand, you will require a permit to re-enter Australia. It is your responsibility as the traveller and/or travel booker to meet all government entry requirements.
