Entire Travel Group appoints new Business Development Manager

Entire Travel Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Roberta Abbondanza as its new Business Development Manager.

Abbondanza is now responsible for reaching out to travel advisors across Australia and bringing them up to speed with Entire Travel Group's new post-COVID business model, which focuses on pre-designed, independent package holidays, all bookable 24/7 online. 

After joining Italian specialist CIT Holidays in 2017 as a reservations consultant, Abbondanza became part of Entire Travel Group when the company acquired CIT in 2018. Since then, she has held a variety of roles, including team leader, and most recently, travel and product advisor. 

She says she’s excited by the opportunity to finally meet Entire Travel Group’s travel agent partners face-to-face. 

“I’ve enjoyed many conversations with travel advisors in the past due to my reservations role and I am looking forward to building on these existing relationships and demonstrating how I can help grow their businesses.” 

With many agents now working remotely, Entire Travel Group is giving advisors the ability to arrange a Zoom meeting with Abbondanza by simply visiting the company’s website and requesting an appointment. 

Sales & Marketing Director Greg McCallum says the business development role is essential because a significant number of travel advisors are still unaware of how much Entire Travel Group has changed over the past three years. 

"Just before the industry closed, we merged key brands such as CIT Holidays and French Travel Connection into our Entire Travel Group brand," says McCallum. "Then we took the opportunity during the pandemic to completely reengineer our business model and build a ground-breaking online booking engine. 

"Our transformation has continued this year with the addition of multiple new destinations and the introduction of innovative services such as our Peace of Mind booking plan. 

"That's a lot for time- and resource-poor advisors to absorb."
