After Breakfast, visit Siracusa. Prestigious city of the ancient world, the most powerful rival of Athens and Rome, Siracusa preserves important remaining of its glorious past. You will visit the solemn and spectacular Greek Theatre, the Ear of Dionysus the most famous of Syracuse’s caves.
Then proceed to the small Baroque Island of Ortigia, the historic centre of Syracuse. It is widely considered one of the most beautiful destinations in Sicily. Dotted with impressive church facades, outdoor restaurants, elegant squares and surrounded by a crystalline sea. Here you will visit the temple of Minerva transformed in a Christian Cathedral, the legendary source Aretusa, the Apollo temple. Proceed to Catania. Cosmopolitan, exuberant, eclectic, Catania is a multi-coloured universe, from the sparkling whiteness of the Baroque stuccos (UNESCO Heritage) to the black lava of the Liotru, the elephant carved in basalt in Piazza Duomo, the heart of the city.
