Day 1 Paris

Passengers may board the ship at 6:00 p.m in Paris. After settling into your cabins, the crew will be introduced during a welcome cocktail before dinner. Tonight, you'll savour dinner onboard.

Later, enjoy a scenic night cruise through Paris (subject to water levels).

The day begins in the morning with a cruise along the Seine, passing through the heart of Paris and offering stunning views of the river’s iconic monuments. Arrive in Evry by early afternoon. Next, join in for a visit to the magnificent Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte. Designed by architect Louis Le Vau, renowned for his work as the King’s "Principal Architect," the château embodies the Italianate style with influences from classical antiquity. This design marked a new chapter in French architecture, shaping the style for the next 150 years. After the tour, return to the ship, and the evening is free for your own exploration.

Day 3 Evry Melun

Spend the morning cruising towards Melun, taking in the tranquil scenery along the Seine riverbanks. In the afternoon, visit the village of Barbizon. In the 1820s, Edmée and François Ganne opened a grocery shop in the hamlet, and in 1827, Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot discovered the village, attracting many other painters, including Théodore Rousseau and Jean-François Millet. A generation of artists embraced painting "from nature," following the example of English pioneers John Constable and Turner. Stroll through the picturesque cobbled streets and explore the charming shops and art galleries. Afterwards, return to the ship, and the evening is free for your own enjoyment.

Spend the morning cruising towards Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne.

In the afternoon, join in for a visit to the Palace of Fontainebleau and its stunning gardens. Throughout history, all the kings and queens of France have passed through Fontainebleau. The château stands as a remarkable example of a residence that has been inhabited for over eight centuries. Explore the French gardens, fountains, and flowerbeds, which evoke the palace’s past splendour. You'll also discover the vibrant town that grew around the château to complete your experience.

After the tour, you'll return to the ship, and the evening is free for your own leisure.

Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne

Day 5 Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne Cannes-Ecluses

Morning excursion: guided tour of Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne. Nestled on the edge of the Fontainebleau forest, this historic royal town is known for its barley sugar and landscapes captured by the Impressionist Alfred Sisley. Explore the medieval fortified gates, stunning Renaissance facades, the picturesque Loing riverbanks, and Notre-Dame church. After the tour, enjoy free time to explore the town, with a chance to visit the local barley sugar shop, a treat dating back to the reign of Louis XIII.

In the afternoon, sail to Cannes-Ecluses. The evening is free to explore this charming town on the banks of the Yonne.

Day 6 Cannes-Ecluses Sens

Morning cruise along the Yonne River, a tributary of the Seine, passing through serene lakes and ponds. Arrival in Sens in the afternoon. Visit the city, known for its historical buildings and remarkable architecture. The Sens Cathedral, the first of the great Gothic cathedrals in France, inspired many others, including Canterbury Cathedral in Great Britain. Stroll through the streets and promenades, admiring the fine homes, buildings, and walls that reflect the town's rich history. Time to explore the market and sample local products. After the tour, return to the ship. Gala dinner and evening to follow.

Can you book my international airfares?

On some Islands Holiday Packages (e.g. Fiji), it is practical to include flights, so where we have done this it is indicated by the plane icon.

However, on the majority of our Holiday Packages, we do not include international flights.

We found that many customers may prefer to:

Travel on a specific airline of their choice
Have the flexibility to book flights with Frequent Flyer points
Select flight dates that may be different to our Holiday Package start/end dates
Use a Travel Credit already held with the airline
Use their travel agent for this service

We are able to assist with flights on any Holiday Package, so please just notify us during the Book Now process or contact our team.

Should I take travel insurance?

Travel insurance is strongly recommended. During the Book Now process please confirm you require assistance, and our team will be in contact with you.

What should I do before travelling?

Before you travel it is your responsibility to ensure you have the appropriate documentation including visas. If you are travelling on a passport other than Australian or New Zealand, you will require a permit to re-enter Australia. It is your responsibility as the traveller and/or travel booker to meet all government entry requirements.
